What’s changed
Everything on this page is something you can see or use. Changes that only matter to the people building the site are not listed.
1.2.0
The film's project page, once your review is accepted.
When a review is accepted you get a link to that film's page on the platform, and it stays with the review on your dashboard. A like, a comment or nothing at all is entirely your own business — it makes no difference to anything here. One thing to keep to: don't mention that you reviewed it. Reviewers are anonymous, and saying otherwise is what undoes that.
1.1.0
Your film plays beside your feedback, and every time in it is a link.
Your film now plays on the feedback page. Click any time in a review or a note — 3:41, say — and it plays from that moment, so you can see exactly what the reviewer meant. Suggested by one of the first creators to read their reviews here.
Point at the curve to see the stretch of the film under it and how many taps of each kind landed there, and click to play from that point. Underneath, each reaction lists the moment it peaked.
Press Note at 0:50 and finish writing at 1:15, and the note is marked 0:50 — the moment you meant, not the moment you finished typing.
A note that did not save used to look as if it had. Now it stays open with a message until it saves. A note still being typed when you press Write the review, or leave the page, is saved on the way out.
1.0.1
Nobody runs out of films while there are films left to watch.
You could be told nothing was available while films you had never been given were still in the event. We try not to hand you the film of someone who is reviewing yours, but when that is all that is left, you get it rather than an empty queue.
1.0.0
The site is feature-complete for the event.
Only the word changed. A film under 8 minutes still earns 1, 8 to 15 minutes earns 2, over 15 minutes earns 3, and 15 opens the feedback on your own film. “Credits” read like something you buy; nothing here is for sale.
Notes you take while watching now appear above the answers, each with its time. Cite puts that time into whichever answer you are writing.
A review that describes a moment in words is no longer blocked for leaving out a timestamp. Times you do cite still have to be moments you actually played.
The watch screen and your feedback had none at all. Your initials now open a menu with your notifications, your account, and a way to sign out.
You can add an address when you sign up or from your account page, and we will tell you when a review arrives, when your feedback unlocks, and when your deadline is close. It is never a way to sign in, and you can remove it whenever you like.
Beside Read your feedback, so reviewing is one click from the page you land on.
What changed, and when.
0.9.0
Notifications, translation and the things around the edges of the loop.
Turn them on for a device and hear when your film is certified, when a review arrives, when your feedback unlocks, and before an assignment lapses. On an iPhone, add the site to your home screen first.
A review written in a language other than yours has a Translate button. The original is always kept and shown.
Download everything on your film as a document to keep, or print it as a PDF.
Your film's own thumbnail, instead of a blank card.
